This blog will soon provide information about variants in the Voltron: Defender of the Universe toys that were produced by Panosh Place during the mid-1980s. The information in this blog is based on observations by collectors of Panosh Place Voltron toys. As a result it’s possible that additional toy variants exist that are not described here.

Two variants of this play set are known to exist. The more rare of the two versions seems to have been made in Canada. I’m not a subject matter expert on these variants, but I know someone who is, and soon I’ll provide more information provided by that person.
Some individual parts from the Castle of Lions playset seem to have been made in multiple variants. I recently discovered two variants of the flip-down tomb floor part. The images below show the tops and bottoms of the two variants. The variant parts appear to be identical from the top, but from the bottom, it’s clear that one variant has a rim along the edge with the hinge posts, and the other variant has no rim.
More info coming soon.
